Pondering An Idea
You guys know that I have been listening http://www.paperclipping.com/roundtable/ as a podcast for the past 20 weeks or so. While this podcast is not CTMH related it does get me to thinking about different ideas and helps me to stay inspired.
Around episode 3 (I think) Ali Edwards http://www.aliedwards.com/ was a guest, she now has a regular seat on the show, but anyway she was talking about the idea of doing a “Week in the Life” album. http://www.aliedwards.com/a-week-in-the-life.html
This idea has been kicking round in my head for a while. I have a very strange schedule I have been wondering how to make it work for me and I also have NO EXPERIENCE with digital scrapbooking other than Studio J. So I think want I am going to do is just jump in and start taking the photos regardless of my schedule and instead of digi scrappin I think I am going to use the 12x12 Six Pocket page protectors (CTMH page 89 item 4113). I am going to leave space for journaling and a few pieces of memorabilia but other than that I think I am going to pop in the photos and see how it looks. This will be VERY different for me, because you know how I love the feel of paper in my hands! So I have added the page protectors to my July order list and I will be researching until then. I will post photos as I do this project so stay tuned.

A Reminder About Crop Night
I wanted to send out a quick reminder that crop night is NOT this Saturday. I will be at work at the hospital if anyone shows up. :-)
Crop night has been moved to May 29, 2010
See you there!
A “Guy” Card
I thought Mike might need a encouragement type card for his team so I came up with this card.
I used:
Delight in Everything Stamp Set (D 1204)
Say It In Style Stamp Set (D 1283)
Holiday Creative Basics (x 5802)
Re-Inkers Colors
Ponderosa Pine (Z 2245)
Desert Sand (Z 2218)
Bamboo (Z 2203)
Cranberry (Z 2216)
4 1/2 x 6/12 size stamp block
Baby Wipes
Cranberry Buttons
Mike’s Card Project
I am making Mike a box of cards to keep at work so that when someone on his team has a birthday or sick he has some cards to choose from in his desk drawer. I am making 8 cards for each design, but here are a couple of designs I finished today.
I have made the “birthday card” design in the past but not with the You Rock papers. I really like how these turned out. I have to be careful not to make them too girly because he works with a bunch of guys. The funny thing is … they like getting cards!
If you look closely you will see I used the puddle pad method on the butterfly. I love how it turned out! And have you ever tired to cut out frog toes? I gave up after cutting many toes off frogs and just decided to cut around the toes. As for the toeless frogs, they will be recycled.
Still painting, but getting closer
As you know we are turning Kaela’s old game room into a crop room for me and my cropping gals. Here is another peak into the decorating that is going on at the Perry House.
So close to being done….
Massive Confusion
What a weekend! Kaela has a MAJOR cooking project due for one of her classes, and we had to have a dinner party so that she could complete the project. She had to cook and it was fantastic!
Mike and Kaela are working on getting my crop area painted, I tried to help but only managed to get paint all over me. My scraproom is in shambles because I am trying to finish a card project and we have stuff in here from the crop area while it is being painted.
Kaela is also having a sleepover so I have 2 / 13 year old girls in my house… we laugh so hard last night my sides hurt. AND I have to work tonight!!! Can I have a weekend to recover from my weekend?
May is going to be super busy because of the end of the school year. I am so thankful that Mike has taken on the project of painting the crop area or it might not get done before the MAY 29nd crop night.
The mess before starting again
I am starving can she hurry it up… :-)
Aunt Amy helped to kick Mom out of the kitchen so Kaela could finish
